(Highschool and College Powerpoint Presentation given by Mr. Smith)

(Met some new friends at an evening concert and barbeque located at a nearby park)

-Highlights of the Day:

"I really enjoyed playing with some young kids at the concert. I loved the constant smile they had, and found it amazing how they didn't care what they were doing as long as they were doing it with friends." -Emily

"Listening to James sing "Danny Boy" at the concert in front of all those people was incredibly brave." - Jordan

"Snorkeling was my highlight since seeing all the different sea life and swimming in the clear water was so cool." - Michael

"I thought that the best part of the day was when I went snorkeling in the deep ocean and feeling re-energized." -James

"I really learned a lot from the college presentation, since very soon I'll be applying that information in real life." -Gaby

"I liked the concert because James sang, and he's a really good singer." - Maiya

"I liked the snorkeling because we explored the coral reef and it was beautiful." - Gigi

"I have no words to describe the joy that I felt when James stepped onto the stage during the Community Concert." - Coach Chris

"I enjoyed eating homemade porridge (cornmeal) and seeing beautiful fish." -Mr. Smith

BrownBag Discussion: What Did We Take Away From the Day? (June 19)

(Community game with local soccer players)

(Preparing to swim in the Glistening Waters)

"I liked playing a game of soccer with some Jamaican kids. They were enthusiastic and energetic." -Gaby

"I enjoyed playing against a game of Jamaican people I didn't know and building friendships with them through soccer." -Alex

"I really liked Glistening Waters because it was a different experience." -Maiya

"I really liked playing with a group of Jamaicans that were really good." James

"I really liked glistening waters because I didn't know water could illuminate when you touch it." -Jordan

"Glistening Waters was my highlight of my day. I learned about it in my science class and, ever since, I'd been looking forward to visiting." -Gigi

"It was cool how a group of locals met everyday to play soccer on a neighborhood field, and now we are a part of that." -Michael

"The speed and passion that the locals played with is like none other. In the States, the love we think we have for the game is minuscule to what the people here have for soccer. Their drive is like nothing I've seen before." -Emily

"Just to see the unity, mutual respect, and genuine love the local athletes showed to our sports Ambassadors was inspiring." Coach Chris
